We sell freedom
Having a healthy child is not self-evident. That every child has a happy life should be self-evident. There is also actually only one reward that makes us really happy: that smiling, happy child, proud of a chair that finally fits!
We sometimes say: we sell freedom. Whoever has seen such a happy child once, understands what we mean.
Vision and mission - these are big words. Words that are often associated with the future, desires and ideas. With what you 'wish', as a company.
There is not that much to wish for at Maatwerk. Why not? Because every body is different. Every customer requires a new solution that has not been thought of before. So every time we make some furniture that didn't yet exist, we develop something that deviates from every standard norm. That requires a great deal of creativity.
For more than twenty years this creativity has been Maatwerk's big secret. We don't even need that much to work. A head full of ideas. A drawing board that is big enough to work out the ideas. Modern computers. And finally: good tools. Because despite modern technologies 'skilled working' is more than a romantic advertising slogan for Maatwerk. Maatwerk cannot do other than work skilfully because the products can never be made in series. Just like there is no factory that makes bespoke suits, Maatwerk cannot build a factory that makes customised chairs and tables.
