The Sophie chair is eminently suitable for disabled children or small adults in active occupational or dining room situations at home, at school or day care and for therapeutic treatment rooms.
The Sophie was the first chair we made and it was drawn with a pencil, on a piece of paper. Until the present day, the Sophie is our greatest success. Not only in business.
There is actually no greater reward than a smiling child who is sitting in a chair that simply fits well for the first time.

Sophie and Altus
The Sophie is usually used in combination with the appurtenant Altus, the adjustable desk. And if Maatwerk says 'adjustable', then it really is adjustable. Infinitely adjustable and accurate to a millimetre. And full of well-thought-out details that the child in question needs. Foot rests at different heights, for example. A recess in the top for the arms of the wheelchair. Or an extra large paper container because Braille paper is larger than A4. The table is not supplied with a drawer block as standard.
